HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer
macOS 12.0 Monterey

Printer seems absolutely normal except the lights aren't breathing it's just a steady blue light in the middle. Can't connect to the printer webpage. Can't connect to the printer over AirPrint. When I try to print it just keeps trying to connect but can't seem to find the printer. It's basically bricked and I'm wondering what might be the issue. I've tried resetting the networking services which worked but I shouldn't have to do that for every boot. Also have tried removing and re-adding the printer, and there's always trouble when trying to re-add it lately. Any idea what might be causing the problem?

After talking to HP support for over an hour as well as Spectrum, the issue was that Spectrum had not enabled 5GHz on the new router setup. Once they enabled the 5GHz both of my HP Envy 6055's were able to connect to the network and receive prints from any device. If you're having trouble with your new Spectrum setup with the HP Envy printers make sure that your printer can use the 5GHz and more importantly have Spectrum enable that setting on the router, which unfortunately cannot be done client side with their router/app.

Hi @fullStackZach,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your Printer that is not booting up.

Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain.

1) Take out the cartridges

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.

Hello there, I tried your solution and the blue light still does not move and I am still stuck with "The printer is not responding"

Could this be an issue because there are two HP Envy Printers in the house maybe trying to use the same IP address? What could be the issue?
