HP ENVOY 7645
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

mY HP ENVOY 7645  keeps tellibng me  there is a paper jame, when there is not one.  I got the paper out in one piece.  At first it said the ink carriers were stuck, but then got unstuck and it keeps saying there is a paper jam.  I have been at this for 4 days now.  The printer is only about 2 years old.  My other HP lasted about 5 years.  Such a disappointment.

Does any one have any suggestions that may help me to move past this and get my printer to work again?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to the HP Support Community

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Is the carriage moving freely?

If the carriage is moving freely, I suggest you do a Hard Reset on the printer

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.

(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Restart the printer.

Try to print.

No.  A waste of yet another hour.  I am going to be checking out Brother and Epson.  A printer should last more than just shy of 2 years. It was hardly used.
