HP Envy 4500
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

My HP Envy 4500 printer would print on cardstock ALL the time with no problem. I would use 65 lb cardstock and no issues. Recently, it has stopped feeding into the printer and actually printing out. It gets a "paper jam" and nothing will be on it. I have tried updating the drivers on my printer, cleaning all the headers, and nothing is working. I would love to be able to print on cardstock because I make a lot of things as a teacher and it lasts longer on cardstock when laminated...and I would prefer not to buy another printer.

What else can I do to help me?

@Kjak18, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Are you able to print fine on regular paper?

Kindly refer to this document to know how to load the media into the printer.

Check the print settings on the app you are using to print.

Make sure the paper size and the paper type is correctly set. To know how to change the print settings, click here.

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your MAC.

Also, check for any software updates on MAC

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

Try printing.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
