MY HP Envy printer was previously set up on my network and I had no issues printing with it until recently. After uninstalling and reinstalling the HP printer driver, I cannot get my laptop to connect to my HP Envy 4520 wireless printer even though the printer is connected to my home network. I tried restoring the setting on my printer and the router, uninstall and reinstall HP printer driver. But that did not work. I type in the IP address but that did not work either. I also tried turning off the firewall on Windows 10 and disabeling the anti-virus program which did not work. Please help. Thanks.

Hi@timothy1972,
Thanks for stopping by HP Support Forums.
I came across your post and would like to help.
Need assistance in fixing the wireless communication issue between the printer and PC. Is that, correct?
I am able to find a suitable article which specifically addresses the issue you have mentioned in your post.
I request you to use the link below and download the latest driver for the printer and check if that solves the issue.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL61220/mp-147799-1/EN4520_72.exe
Hope the solution answers your query. Feel free to reply back for more.

I was able to connect to the printer through Device Settings in Windows 10 (Printers and Scanners). Apparently a separate driver was not needed. I still don't know exactly why the driver I downloaded through the HP website did not work. I am guessing that the driver is outdated because it hasn't been updated since 2015, and it is incompatible with subsequent updates to Windows 10 since. Thanks for your help though.
