I only print occasionally, but it seems like every time I print as much as 2 pages, I have to change the ink cartridges again, not because the ink runs out, but because the print quality becomes so bad, the results are unreadable - see attached image.  The estimated cartridge levels are 65% right now.  I've done the "Clean Cartridges" procedure, and then the "Deep Cleaning," but the result looks just as bad.  If I replace the cartridges, that might fix it, but it's infuriating that genuine HP cartridges will only print a couple of pages before printing out garbage.Terrible print quality, even after 4 rounds of cartridge cleaning.Terrible print quality, even after 4 rounds of cartridge cleaning.

Inkjets need to be used at least every 5 days of the ink will dry in the printhead.

Get a plastic dish and put 1/4" of hot water in it.
Use rubber gloves.
Remove the black cartridge and put the ink printhead down into the water.
Soak for few minutes, then remove.
Touch the printhead to a paper towel and you should see a black line.

Repeat the soak procedure of required.
Clean/dry the contacts with a lint free wipe like a coffee filter.
Install back in the printer.
Try printing.
