macOS 10.12 Sierra

I've been trying to print double sided on my HP Envy 5540 All-in-One printer. I'm using a Mac Book. I have already deleted the software and reinstalled it to see if it would start printing in double-sided. I'm given the option to print double sided, and I select it, but the printer just keeps printing single sided.

Yes, as I said in my original post, I select print double sided and the printer still prints one-sided. I know that it has the ability to print double sided because it did in the past, it just stopped printing on both sides.
