Hi Sandytechy20 - the printer is less than a month old only printed 90 sheets todate. I have checked the paper and reset the printer - but it is now not recognised I chatted with Apple Support too - and we tried many ways (and I have deleted the printer and re downloaded the drivers time and time again) and now it wont pick the printer up at all - it says an error occured whilst trying to add printer. They have suggested using the ethernet cable to get it to recognise the printer to my mac...
So I have gone from one message of saying load paper (which it had paper in) to now not recognising printer.....
On other forums they are saying it could be to do with Sierra update.....
Very frustrating
Have you any other thoughts
thank you

I had this problem 6 weeks ago. Spoke to HP support. Went throught the motions and ended up taking the printer back to the store for a replacement. Today, the same problem arises. Unbelievably I was advised by HP chat support that the problem may be the paper I was using. Which was the HP Advanced paper supplied with the printer! Which oddly works fine via the main tray. It's apparent that this is a design flaw with the photo tray mechanism. I'm now awaiting a call from an HP supervisor to discuss - but I don't see the problem being anything different to the last time I spent over an hour speaking to support - to subsequently be advised to return the printer. Not a great advert for Hp i'm afraid.
