I replaced the cartridges and now the screen says “remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed”. I keep removing them, putting them back in, I have restarted the printer, nothing is working. Still getting this error.

@Leeal, Welcome to HP Support Community!
I see that the printer is in an error state, let us try to isolate and resolve the issue.
Follow the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and see if that helps!
Additionally, Update the printer firmware
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi,
Thank you for checking in. I have cleaned the cartridges, they are both brand new, and I have updated all the printer settings.
I am still getting the same message "remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed."
It seems to the be color cartridge that is causing a problem, there are three colored dots at the top of the message.
In summary, I have done what I can, and the problem still exists. Any other advice?

Thanks for replying!
This could be an issue with the ink or the printer ink system.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer/cartridge replacement.
Hope this helps!
