We recently purchased a HP All-In-One Printer (HP6978) and on the printer is a sticker advertising HP Instant Ink. Included too was promotional material for the printer. We hardly use the printer and now finding that the orginal provided ink is getting low are wanting to buy more.
When we try to subscribe to the Moderate Plan the printer is not added and is saying 'This printer is NOT eligible for HP Instant Ink'
Any idea why this would be? Even the list of eligible printers states HP 6970 series printers are okay.

Hey @Simon_J, Welcome to the HP Support forums, my name is Andrea, I would be happy to help with the issue you are experiencing.
Your printer is eligible for Instant Ink. Let's try removing Web Services and then setting up Web Services again.
1- Click on your Eprint icon on the front panel of your printer
2- Click on the settings icon and scroll to Remove Web Services
3- Click on Remove Web services and respond Yes to the question
4- On the main home screen click the Eprint icon once again
5- Click Setup Web services and respond to the questions
6- Once setup you will get a new Congratulations page with a new claim code.
Use the new claim code during the Instant Ink enrollment when it asks what printer you want to enroll, click add printer.
Please make sure when setting up Web Services if it asks you about doing automatic updates that you choose yes to that feature.
Let us know the outcome. We are here to help and make sure you are up and going with your Instant Ink account.
Thanks!
