*This is my work printer, but I don't have an IT department to contact to help.*

If I have multiple copies of multiple pages (collated), the printer will only print one. I found one page online that allowed me to change the number of copies, but that just changed it to always print that number of copies, and it didn't collate. I have seen tips about setting Mopier to Enabled, but I can't find the screen that people are finding it on. Same with Hard Disk. I believe the pages I had gotten suggestions from were for a different model, so perhaps it is just in a different place or the solution is different for the model I'm using. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated, it is driving me crazy to have to pick between printing one set at a time or having to collate myself.

Hi @Madeleine01,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're facing an issue with the HP LaserJet MFP M227fdw printer not printing multiple copies in a collated manner. To resolve this, you should enable the Mopier Mode and ensure the settings are correct for collating.

Here are the steps you can follow:

Enable Mopier Mode:

Access the Printer's Web Interface:

  • Make sure your printer is connected to your network.
  • Open a web browser and enter the printer's IP address in the address bar (you can find the IP address by printing a configuration page from the printer's control panel).

Log in to the Printer’s Web Interface:

  • If prompted, log in using the admin credentials. By default, the username is admin, and the password is usually 123456 unless you changed it.

Enable Mopier Mode:

  • Once logged in, navigate to Settings > Mopier or Advanced Settings.
  • Set Mopier Mode to Enabled. Mopier mode allows the printer to store a copy of the document on its hard drive (if available) and print subsequent copies from this stored image, making the process faster and more efficient.

Save the Settings: Apply and save the settings.

Adjust Collation Settings:

  1. On your computer, go to the Print dialog.
  2. Under the Copies section, ensure that you select the correct number of copies.
  3. Look for a Collate checkbox (this may appear under Advanced settings or Preferences depending on your operating system).
  4. Check Collate to ensure that the printer prints sets of copies, rather than printing all pages of the first copy, then all pages of the second copy, and so on.

If Mopier Mode Doesn't Appear:

  • The HP LaserJet MFP M227fdw doesn't have a hard disk or the Mopier option like some other models, so this feature might not be available for your printer. In that case, you will need to rely on the collate option in the software as mentioned above.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
