HP OfficeJet 8025

I bought an HP 8025 Office jet Pro and it is missing the setup cartidges.  How can we bypass this because we cannot take the printer back and cannot find the cartridges anywhere.

@jgregwhit, Welcome to HP Support Community!

The only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset, and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps!

This seems to have unlocked things and now I can work on aligning the printer.  Thanks so much!

Now I am getting a “Printhead Problem”.  It says there is a problem with the printhead. Event Code: 62.80.13.   This is for a HP office jet pro 8025 with a fixed printhead.  Do you have suggestions to fix this error?

@jgregwhit

Follow the steps from the document Error Indicates Faulty Printhead to resolve the issue.

Thanks!

Thanks for your quick reply!

I got the “printhead” error to go away.  Now, when I try to print an alignment page, only the pink ink prints (no blue, black, or yellow).  I gave tried clearing the print heads a number of times and I still only get pink ink when it prints.  After cleaning print head 3 times, I got a message to replace the printhead.

What suggestions do you have for this?

@jgregwhit

I'd suggest you take it to the nearest service center for further assistance. The printhead is not removable on the printer and only the service team can tell what can be done.

Also, you can reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!
