We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you're encountering a 'Supply System Problem' error on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8720, the following troubleshooting steps can help resolve the issue:

Step-by-Step Solutions:

Reset the Printer:

  • Press the power button to turn off the printer. If the printer does not turn off, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the power source.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Connect the power cord directly to a wall outlet and to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer to complete the reset.

Clean the Ink Cartridge Vents:

  • Open the door or lid to the cartridge access area and wait until the carriage stops moving.
  • Push in the tab on a cartridge, and then pull the cartridge from the slot.
  • Remove any debris or excess adhesive from the vent on top of the cartridge using a pin or paper clip.
  • Reinsert the cartridge into its color-coded slot, pressing down until it snaps into place.
  • Repeat these steps for all cartridges.

Replace All Ink Cartridges:

  • Obtain new cartridges, preferably genuine HP cartridges.
  • Open the door or lid to the cartridge access area and remove the old cartridge.
  • Insert the new cartridge into the slot and repeat for all cartridges.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
