Had been about a week since I last used my HP OfficeJet4655, tried to use air printer from my cell phone, it did not recognize a printer. Tried to access printer directly and it was showing an error code in window and then it all went black. I have tried unplugging everything, tried different outlets, nothing seems to wake it back up.

Hi @OhLozzie,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your Printer that is not powering on.

Please follow the steps below to fix the issue.

- Perform a power drain on the printer.

1) Take out the cartridges

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall outlet directly, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

- Update the printer firmware by clicking on this link if the printer turns on.

- If the issue still persists, try with an alternate power cable that is compatible with your printer.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day

Irwin6 - Was able to do everything you requested to restart my printer, but was unable to get both print cartridges out. I was able to remove my color cartridge, but without power I don't know how to move mechanism that reveals cartridges. Any ideas? The printer is still not able to turn on.

Irwin,

I am having the same issues, have followed the same set of instructions, still do not have power and do not have the ability to update anything.  Received a printer error before everything went dead:  OXB94DA7E6.  Could you please message me with information on how to get in contact with someone in support or an HP repair facility near me?
