My HP Officejet Pro 6970 printer , product number J7K34A, worked fine with 904 setup cartridges which I replaced with Instant Ink cartridges. However, after I cancelled Instant Ink, my printer would not longer print. I purchased HP Original Ink 902 cartridges which are supposed to be compatible with HP Officejet Pro 6970 printer (as indicated on HP website). My printer however displayed an "Incompatible cartridge" error sign and will not print. I tried again with another pack of HP 902 cartridges and printer still will not print. I've been through every troubleshooting suggestion. Nothing works.

Hi @Indiana2
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand you are not able to print due to ink cartridge error. I'd be happy to assist you.
- Which of the ink cartridges are indicated in the error?
- Make sure you are not using Instant Ink cartridges in the printer as the printer is not enrolled anymore.
Yes, HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 All-in-One Printer series uses HP 902 ink cartridges in your region.
Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document to resolve any ink cartridge related errors.

Thank you for responding Kumar0307. All of the 4 cartridges are indicated in the error message (each color gets it's own error message. I am not using Instant Ink cartridges any longer - the printer worked until I cancelled Instant Ink and sent the cartridges back. Since then I've purchased two sets of 902 cartridges and none of the work. I've already tried everything in the document as you proposed and I even spent about 3/4 of on hour on the phone with an HP representative who was unable to fix the problem. He promised to call me back yesterday but he never called. I'll call him back today to see if I can get some assistance. Thanks again for responding.
