Hi MLH2,

If you have the HP Officejet 4630, you will want to print a network configuration page. Printing a Network Configuration Page, the printer will printout the ip address.

First, plz check the User Manual for detailed directions.

On front panel of 4630, touch WiFi button (Blue light).

Top line will give you the IP: Address  and SSID (name of your WiFi Connection), etc.

Best of luck.

Hello.  This solution worked  great!  Until I got some HP update and the issue is happening again.  I go to rereate this solution and I do not have the "Ports" tab on my printer properties...very odd.  Any suggestions?  Thank you!

Until recently, my 4630 printer worked pretty good as long as I kept it to one page at a time.  Then, it started again with stopping in the middle of a page and giving me an error.

The Bitdefender comment was intriguing because  I had recently installed BD.  So I disabled it and, voila', whole pages print again!  Thanks for the post.

I still have problems with multiple page documents but I will try to disable Adobe and other programs and see if I can remedy this.

Hi everyone,

I have the exact same issue, but I have Mac X OS El Capitan. Any way this can be solved?

My HP OJ 4500 G510a-f is having the same problems.  Worked fine for years and now its stoping print mid-page.  There is often an error sound coming from the PC but no popup to say why.  The EventVwr shows this error:

The print spooler failed to share printer HP Officejet 4500 G510a-f with shared resource name HP Officejet 4500 G510a-f. Error 2114. The printer cannot be used by others on the network.

I installed the latest drivers and that seemed to help for a short time but now its happening again.

The printer is hard-wired via USB to my PC.

I tried removing the device and then searched for printers and it could not find it.  I am going to try a roboot.

...

After reboot the PC detected the printer and installed all these drivers.  Seems strange.  Only one printer shows up in th e Devices and Printers dialog and all seemed better.  I suspect a virus!

By golly, I think this did the trick! Thank you so much! My brand new Envy wasn't printing web pages or PDFs and I took it through so many fixes, none of which helped. I was ready to return it.

Your instructions said, after opening Devices & Printers, to right click on the printer, then click on Properties, then on the Ports tab. On my laptop (running Windows 10), there was no Ports tab there. BUT... instead, after opening Devices & Printers, I simply clicked on the printer to highlight it, then clicked on Printer Server Properties at the top of the screen. The Ports tab popped up there, and everything else worked just like you said.

Thank you again!
