hp officejet pro 6978\6970
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just recently purchased an HP Officejet Pro 6970. At least that what it says, however the label on the priinte says 6978. Anyway, I have completed the setup as per the instructions and all things seem normal but when I go to print from the computer, nothing happens. Test print prints ok..I am at a loss. I  have  uninstalled and reinstalled. Powered down the modem and printer and restarted. Nothing....Help

Hi Memrymaker,

If you are able to perform a test print, it means your printer is setup and installed correctly. What software application are you trying to print from? Is your printer connected through USB or Wi-Fi?

As best I can see, HP changed the 6978. My older 6968 used nicely with the duplex printer. Now the same 6968 model but changed and duplex no longer works - 2-side no longer displays. I've looked at everything to find but there's no duplex. Now it shows  "flip sides" which means take the printer manually and flip the pages over. HP must have [edit]to keep the price down.

Hi, you may want to go to the Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers, select your printer, right click and under Printer Properties > Device Settings > Installable Options and make sure that "Automatic Duplexing Unit" is selected as "Installed".   You should be able to see 2-sided printing in the print preference after this.  Hope this helps.
