Received a message on the LCD  Screen - '0xc19a0027' - "There is a problem with the printhead".

Print Head displayed in the HP web is different to the one installed in the printer shown in the diagrams for cleaning and replacement - there is no lever to lift the printer head. The printhead is secured with screws rather than the lifting lever shown... Tried searching the web and the HP Site with no success... Any help would be great... Thanks

Hello, @Reg6 - Hope you are well 🙂

Thanks for engaging in the HP Forums! I see by your post that you are experiencing “0X” error your Officejet printer. I will certainly do my best to help you.

First off, the print head is a non-replaceable part on this machine. There are few printers which have a replaceable print head, but Officejet 7510 is not one of them.

I would suggest you try a hard reset on the printer to try and fix the issue:

·         Remove the cartridges from the printer.

·         With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

·         Remove USB cable, if present.

·         Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

·         Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

·         Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

If the issue persists, I am afraid the issue could be with the printer hardware. I would suggest you to contact HP phone support to set up a service for the printer.

You can visit http://www.support.hp.com/contact-hp and fill in your product details to get the tech support number.

(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.

(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.

(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.

(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

If you have any troubles, let me know and I will do my best to help.

Good luck 🙂

Hi D Vortex, (sorry to be so formal)

Sorry for the delay in responding (work keeps me out of the office).

Tried your first recommendation. Unfortunately, it did not work so going to have to speak to HP support centre as described by yourself.

HP Support said that it is 'out of warranty' and I will have to purchase a new on through the sales department. This printer does not get a lot of use, I only oly use it for  4 - 6 A3 drawings in an O&M manual every year, as I have a large format printer (DesignJet T1500) for the my main drawings.

Many thanks for your fast response.

Kind Regards

Reg6

this is my error code for the print head. Are you sure that it can not be replaced?

HP Recommended

what does it mean that it is not replaceable? can only be replaced by hp technical support?

This is ridiculous. I also have the same issue and my 7510 Officejet is only 16 months old. This was bought directly from HP in USA also. I cannot believe that the printhead is not replaceable or serviceable by an individual. Does this unit have a rash of BAD printhead issues? Does HP actually destroy tyhe whole machine or do they actualkly replace the defective printhead?

Awaiting Answer.
