Hello,
I have an Officejet Pro 8600 All in One that will not print color. I've rebooted, went through all 4 levels of clean printheads, and align printheads (3 times for clean printheads(all 4 levels) and 3 times for align printheads.
I've also done the following below.
While you respond to that, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
- Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
- Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
- Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
- The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector.
- Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.
Now my question is simple. The warranty has expired on the Printer.
My question(s): How much would HP charge to look and fix the issue? and How would I contact HP to request this since the product is out of warranty and will not provide me a tech support number to call an agent?

Welcome to HP forums, I see that your printer is not printing in color.
Before contacting HP phone support lets try few steps to find out what is causing the issue.
- Did you do any changes on the printer driver?
- Did you update the Windows OS recently?
- Did you make a copy and check if that prints fine in color?
Reply with the requesed infirmation for further assistance.
Cheers.

- Did you do any changes on the printer driver?
- No, I have not.
- Did you update the Windows OS recently?
- Microsoft Updates, security patches, typical stuff
- Did you make a copy and check if that prints fine in color?
- I've ran all 4 levels of clean printhead, and it only prints black, ran alignment numerous times, same result
- Copied, yes.
Additional information:
- The issue has been ongoing since I got the printer in May 2017
- I bought the printer from a consignment shop, thus why the warranty has expired on it.
- I've replaced the Ink Cartidges
- BOTH of HP Brands, and off brand
- Updated to the latest drivers from the HP Support site
- Ran all 4 levels of clean printheads at least 3 times
- Ran align printheads at least 4 times
- Followed the process in my original post about shutting down the printer by removing the power cable
The only thing I have not done, is checked to see if the printer needed a firmware update.
- I will check this tomorrow and post the update.
I understand the needs of pre-elimanory troubleshooting, but like I advised in the original post, I'm willing to pay HP to fix the printer, I just need to know who to contact, and how to contact.

Thanks for the reply.
I appreciate your time and effort.
Print a Print Quality Diagnostics report.
-
Load plain white paper into the input tray.
-
On the printer control panel, touch the Right Arrow (
) to display additional options.
-
Touch Setup (
), touch the Down Arrow (
), and then touch Reports.
-
Touch Print Quality Report. The Print Quality Diagnostics Report prints.

If it prints in color, update the printer firmware.
-
From the home screen on the printer control panel, touch the ePrint icon (
).
-
Wait for the printer to connect to the ePrint server. The ePrint status displays.
-
Touch Settings on the bottom left corner of the screen.
-
Touch Printer Update, and then touch Check for Update Now.
Let me know how it goes.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.

Welcome to HP Community
Since the Quality Diagnostic Page prints Color fine, I suggest you uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the Full Feature Software from Here and follow the onscreen Instructions
Keep me posted how it goes 😊
