Ah! Yes I had to look into the page you referenced there.to see what you are talking about.
What I see now is WSD port that is pointing to the printer. I should also mention that visiting the URL works with no problems as well.
Are you saying we have to remove this one and go with the TCP/IP? Is there a HP-based resource that recommends and demonstrates this for the 8620?

Right, I understand that. I am looking for an HP-sponsored/specific resource that demonstrates and recommends this for the 8620. The concern here is that this seems like a step back from the current port type, which is a web services port, if I am not mistaken? Does that mean the computers will no longer be able to access the web services functionality?
Additionally, the TCP/IP port is used to connect to specific IP address. In this case, the connection has already been made and the IP address is not changing. So I guess in addition to my concern of degrading functionality, I am interested in knowing and understanding about what precisely there is about the TCP/IP port configuration as opposed to the WSD port configuration that will solve the problem that we are experiencing here.
