Hi @Ellecar,

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Smart Tank 7605 printer is showing a Printhead Problem error even after following the instructions and attempting a reset. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

a. Power Off and On
 - Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source for about 30 seconds.
 - Plug it back in and turn it on to see if the error clears.

b. Remove and Reinstall Printhead
 1. Open the printer’s top cover to access the printhead.
 2. Carefully remove all ink cartridges.
 3. Gently lift the printhead out following the instructions in the user manual.
 4. Check for any obstructions, dried ink, or misaligned cartridges.
 5. Reinstall the printhead and cartridges, making sure they click firmly into place.

c. Clean the Printhead Contacts
 - Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water to clean the copper or gold contacts on the printhead and inside the printer carriage.
 - Make sure the contacts are dry before reinstalling.

d. Reset the Printer
 1. With the printer powered on, unplug it from the wall.
 2. Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on.
 3. Check if the printhead error persists.

e. Test Printing
 - Try printing a test page or alignment page from the printer menu.
 - If the error continues, remove and reseat the printhead again, ensuring proper alignment.

I hope this helps.
