I had a printer network issue and the HP agent had a support person call me. Apparently they contract out their services to Degiteq IT Solutions. I have a MacBook Pro and an HP Support for LaserJet Pro MFP M148dw. They tried to sell me on network security software, bullguard and IT support.
Has anyone ever heard of Degiteq IT Solutions? Or is there a fake HP support website?

Sadly there are many sites out there preying on unsuspecting HP printer owners. I have escalated your post to the moderators of this board so that they can make HP aware of the situation. They may contact you via PM on this site for more information. The little envelop next to your name will turn red when you have a message waiting. HP is very aggressive in pursuing and shutting down these shady websites to prevent issues just like the one you went through.
I am a volunteer, offering my knowledge to support fellow users, I do not work for HP nor speak for HP.
