Deskjet 4625
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Two related problems please, caused it seems by Windows 10 latest update:

1. After the update, I was only able to get the printer going again by removing and then reinstalling using the latest HP driver (from HP site) and connected as a USB printer. Works fine but I can no longer see the ink levels. AiO says "supply information is not available at this time". Can anyone advise how I can see the ink suply levels. Taking them out and holding them up to the window doesn't help!

2. I would like to return to a wireless connection that I had before the Windows 10 update scrubbed that. Must I completely reinstall? We have dodgy wireless here and I had connected BOTH wireless and USB before which was easy as I always had a connection. Can this still be done?

Thanks!!

Hi @niochorio

Thank you for joining HP Forums!

I saw your post on how your ink levels are not showing and that you want to go on a wireless connection with your HP Deskjet 4625 printer. I am happy to help!

To check the estimated ink levels from the printer control panel

1. From the Home screen, press the (Setup) button.

2. Using the buttons on the right, select Ink Information, and then select Estimated Ink Levels.

For the wireless connection. see Wireless Printer Setup (Windows)

Thanks! I am out of the office (and away from the printer) for a few days but first thing when I get back I'll give it a whirl. Thanks so much ... will post when I have followed your instructions.
