HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 All-in-One Printer

 

Printer HP Officejet Pro 6968 will  not print due to using non-HP cartridges.  A firmware update occurred in Dec 2022 and since then I have not been able to print.  I have reviewed others who posed the same questions, but the solutions provided did not work.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and smart app, I have taken the cartridges out and re-inserted, I downloaded firmware update from May 2022 thinking it would override the Dec update, but to no avail.  Would appreciate help so that I can use the printer again.  Thank you

What exactly is the error messsage on thee driver or the printer screen?

 

Most likely you are going to need to contact your supplier of cartridges for support.

The error message is Non-HP chip detected. The printer will not print

If the cartridges are indeed third party I would suggest you contact your cartridge supplier for support.
