Updating the printer firmware, clearing the web browser cache and cookies may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:

Please ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware. If you are unsure you may download and install the latest firmware update from here. 

Use the instructions on the following links to clear web browser cache and cookies:

Internet Explorer

Firefox

Once you clear the cache/cookies, restart router, printer and computer. Check if the printer is printing unexpected characters and text.

Printer printed at least a dozen pages which goes against myt Instant Ink account.  How can I rectify this issue?  I'll be going through my Instant Ink account in no time flat without even printing what I want.

Well, that didn't work.   I followed your instructions as posted with this result.   I awoke this morning with two more pages printed.  One is total garbage.  Most of the symbols are not even on the keyboard.  The other has two lines.  First line has;  GET / HTTP/1.1.  The second line has;  Host:  209.122.6.73:9100.  Can someone PLEASE tell me what to do?  My Instant Ink Acct. is quickly dwindling.  I have saved the 42 [yes 42] pages of junk my printer printed just this month.  Most of the pages are just one line.
