The HP Solution center has suddenly stopped working. The advice says it cannot run because the device installation is not complete.... It has not been a problem in the past (and I have been on Windows 10 for several months) and I I have no problems printing a document but cannot scan - either from the solution centre or from the printer to the PC. I have uninstalled and installed the drivers twice, and also deleted a recent Microsoft security update as advised in one site but to no avail. The printer is a B110 series and I am on Windows 10.

Welcome to the HP Forums @HV2, I would be happy to help you get your Solution Center working again. I am confident that I will be able to help you work towards a solution, and I ask only that you pay it forward. When we settle the issue, I'd like for you to kindly mark the appropriate post as Accept as Solution so that others encountering the same or similar issue can find what worked for you.
Although you have already uninstalled and reinstalled the software, I suggest performing another uninstall, but with a different approach. Please use the following steps to perform a more comprehensive uninstall:
- Hold down the Windows Logo key on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box, type %temp%
- Delete all files and folders from the temp folder. Choose skip if any pop ups appear saying any of the files could not be deleted
- Download the software and choose to save as, save to desktop > PS_AIO_07_B110_USW_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5.exe
- After the software downloads and extracts, open the temp folder again, use the instructions from step 1.
- Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)
- Open folder Util
- Open folder CCC
- If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have anon-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
- When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
- Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.
- Hold down the Windows Logo key on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box
- In the Open box, type msiexec /unregister, and then click OK.
- Hold down the Windows Logo key on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box
- In the Open box, type msiexec /regserver, and then click OK
*Note: there is a space between the c and the /
If you have any difficulty with this step, please use this link to perform it another way. Restarting Windows Installer
- Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tool < How to Delete files using Disk Cleanup
- Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
- Restart the computer
- Download and run the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows
The HP Printer Install Wizard for Window was created to help Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 users download and install the latest and most appropriate HP software solution for their HP Printer.
If you can not complete any of these steps, please stop and post back to let me know where you got stuck. Skipping a step and continuing to the next step will not accomplish what we need to. If you get stuck I will help you through it.
I look forward to hearing back from you with the results of your efforts. Thanks.

Thank you
Thank you
thank you
The number of hours spent trying to fix this by reinstalling are in the double digits.
Following your steps, 30 mins and success!
Thank you
[side note: My issue was with a 7780 (wireless) and a 7600 (wired) all in one. The instructions provided will work for those printers also you need only substitute the correct driver/software for your printer]
