My HP3772 printer will print graphics but not text. I have tried:
-multiple Windows PCs
-power off resets of printer and my Windows 11 HP laptop
-USB connection instead of wireless
-deleted and reinstalled the printer
-plugged it directly into the wall
-downloaded and installed the most recent Windows 11 updates
-It prints web pages and other graphics OK, but will not print text from computer
-prints self test OK
-prints Information Page OK
Please help!

Hi @tomrubyc,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
As I understand your HP Deskjet 3700 is not printing text, however, it prints photos,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Did you run the HP Print and Scan Doctor to identify the issue?
While you respond to that, here's what you need to do:
HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems.
Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor to quickly and automatically perform several troubleshooting tasks. When this link is clicked, HP Print and Scan Doctor is downloaded using your Internet browser's download capabilities.
If the issue persists, I recommend you delete the driver at the root level and retry, following the steps below:
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features:
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
Then, Click here to access the HP website, find the drivers compatible with your windows and install it.
Also, update the firmware
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
