Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I go to https://www.hpsmart.com/ and then to the section titled "Manage Print Anywhere" then to the section titled "Share remote access to the printer by email." I enter an email address and push the Add button and I receive this message: "Please enter a valid email address." It does not matter what email address I enter, I receive the same error message. ePrint works fine, but I am assuming that the purpose of this section of HP Smart is to secure which email addresses are allowed to send print jobs to the printer via ePrint.

@PRS824, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

For info on how to setup and use the Print Anywhere feature in the HP Smart App, refer to this document. If the issue persists, I suggest contact the HP Cloud Support in your region for assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

When I called HP Support on the phone, I was passed from person to person and now you suggest that I contact yet another HP department (HP Cloud Support). I believe that my question is fairly straightforward, but I am led to believe that no HP support person is actually familiar with the HP Smart software! What is the "Please enter a valid email address" field for exactly? Is it for entering an email address for another person who already has an HP Connected account that I want to give access to the printer?

I understand your concern and I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.

They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.

Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
