Officejet Pro 8730
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased an Officejet Pro 8730 and set it up as per my requirements and also customized the apps on the Homescreen. The next day when I turned it on, the customization had disappeared and I am no longer able to customize the apps. When I press and hold on any app on the Homescreen, it's supposed fade and then I should be able to move it. On the individual menus of scan, copy or fax, if I press and hold, the icon is supposed to fade and a bar is supposed to appear at the bottom to drag the icon to, so that a shortcut gets created on the Homescreen. Now, when I press and hold, be it anywhere, the icon fades but neither am I able to move it on the Homescreen nor am I able to create a shortcut on the Homescreen from any of the individual menus.

Have contacted HP service but no resolution yet. Please advise if anyone has faced a similar issue and how it was resolved. Thank you.

I'm also have trouble customizzing the control panel screen.  When I press either the existing shortcuts or other functions to create shortcuts, nothing happens.  They don't fade, they aren't movable, and I can't create the custom homescreen that I need.  Help!!
