@Doug1969,

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support community!

For the printer, HP Envy 4512 using HP 63XL black ink cartridge, the approximate pages that you can print (page yield) is around 330 pages.

But the actual yield will vary depending upon the amount of content on the page.

Highly "dense" documents, such as the text document below, may yield fewer pages than the ISO standard, while less dense ones such as the organization chart below would yield more pages than the standard. It also differs if you are printing photographs.

Refer to this link for more information on page yield.

Examples of different kinds of documents:

Hence the page yield depends on the content of the page and sometimes if there are any issues with the ink cartridges, it also results in fewer page yield.

Please provide the following information to help you with your concern:

  • What type of document did you print?
  • Did you have a similar issue with older ink cartridges?

Cheers!

@Doug1969,

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.

They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number.

Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.

Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

Cheers!
