How do I remove the orange tab from the ink cartridges? I know it has to be twisted, but my hand must not be strong enough to do that! Are there any tricks to removing it?

This is likely for a different printer; the steps include how to twist-off the orange tab:
HP OfficeJet Pro 6900 Printers - Replacing Ink Cartridges
Video > "Orange tab" instructions are at about the 1.09 minute/second mark.
Step 5: Hold the ink cartridge by its sides, and then twist the protective orange cap counter-clockwise to snap it off the ink cartridge.

The person in the video said to twist the tab off COUNTER-clockwise and demonstrated by twisting it CLOCKWISE! I finally managed to get it off, but it's a very poor design.
It's very difficult for me to remove the orange tab. Next time, I'll tap it with a hammer!
HP should have a better way of removing any device from a printer cartridge.

Silly video.
I have not had a printer that uses these orange tabs since I had the Photosmart 7520 - that was a while back - both Officejet Pro printers have nice easy-to-use "normal" ink cartridges. Something to look for when you replace your printer. Smiling.
Sorry you had such a hard time - yes, tap the stubborn thing with something other than your poor hand.
Glad it's "fixed".
