Long story short: I uninstalled and reinstalled the HP Officejet 4500 Wireless printer and after doing so I started geting the following notification popup on my windows 10 pc "Single Ink Cartridge Mode". I only use black ink and understand the notification; however, I want to disable this notification that I had never received in the past 7 years! This new popup notification simply annoys me and I have spent several hours (researching & unistalling/reinstalling) several times in an attemp to disable this notification but have had no success. Please Help!!!

Welcome to HP forums, I see that you want to disable the printer notifications.
-
Open the Devices and Printers folder, right-click the HP UPD, and then select Properties.
-
Click the Device Settings tab.
-
In the Installable Options section, set Printer Status Notification to Disable.
-
Click OK.
Figure : Enable or disable Printer Status Notifications
Let me know how it goes.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.

Hello,
I appreciate your response; however, I have previoysly found and followed those instructions (which didn't work) at https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01841764. I'd like to mention that not only did those instructions not resolve the issue but I think they are not detailed enough and apparently must not be for Windows 10, the OS I stated I used in my original question, and I will attempt to explain what I had to do in an attempt to follow those instructions.
Steps
1: Left click Start, Search for and open Control Panel
2: Left click View devices and printer, found underneath the Hardware and Sound section
3: Double left click on the printer which has the notificaitons you intend to disable, found underneath the Printers section
4: Left click Customize your printer, found underneath the Printer Actions section, this will open a pupup window Printer Properties
5: Left click the Device Settings tab
Unfortunately, this was the end of my attempt to follow the instructions. All that was displayed within the Device Settings tab was Advanced Features and underneath that was Installed Options. That is all that was displayed with no options to select or even view.
Fortunately, I was able to resolve the issue of annoying notifications on my own but I did not keep note and will not repeat so the instructions I am about to share will also be less than satisfiable. Before I begin, I would like to mention that I made this attempt many many times but the last time I tried it worked and the only difference I made in this final attempt was turning my wifi off before beginning the process (this may have simply been coincidental though).
First I turned off my wifi and then I uninstalled everything I found on my PC that was from HP and appeared to have relation to the HP Printer (See I'm not providing good instructions either).
Next I used the installation disc, which if unavailable the same installation file can be found here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Officejet-4500-All-in-One-Printer-Series---G510/...
During the installation you will eventually reach a moment where you must check a box agreeing to proceed with the installation BUT before you do there will be a few things that you can click on (Blue font that looks like it will open a url link). One of the options will open the Terms and Conditions that all should read but almost no one ever does, I sure didn't. One, or more??, of the other clickable options will open a list of multiple functions that you are allowing the printer and software to utilize. I simply unchecked all of the options (a few will not allow you to uncheck).
Once you have clicked on each of those few "blue option link thingies" and unchecked everything you can simply check the box allowing the installation to proceed. After the installation finished I never received the annoying notifications. I restarted my pc, just for the heck of it, and the notifications still never returned.
Yet again, my instructions were also poor. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my printer multiple times over years and never had notification issues until recently. I have also always unchecked the options I just tried to give instructions for. When the annoying notification popups randomly occurred I repeated the unisntallation and reinstallation attempts over and over again. I researched on the internet for hours and hours. Most of the instructions that I found did not work on Windows 10, did not show what the instructions mentioned, or simply had no effect. My final attempt, the uninstall and reinstall with unchecking everything possible seemed to only work this last time while I had the wifi turned off. Did turning off the wifi make the process work? I do not know but will pretend that is the reason why. Good luck to anyone else who attempts to copy my process!
