I get blobs of black on photocopied papers, The glass has been cleaned many times but there is no improvement. Printing work is not so messy but it still isn't faultless. I suspect somewhere n the roller system is mucky. Has anyone else had this and how do you go about cleaning the inside rollers. HP trouble shooting and virtual assistants dont.

Is the smear on the front or back of your printout?

Hi thanks for responding. It was on the face page and despite many attempts at cleaning the screen with some household cleaners, the mucky mark remained, UNTIL I used alcohol in desperation and it cleaned it crystal clear.
