Hi Everyone & @Jay_G24,

 

I have the same problem with this post but I couldn't find the way to fix my Deskjet 1255. Can you tell me how to fix it? It's keeping asking me to use the setup ink.

I have used this printer for a few weeks now and have changed the ink twice. Now on the third change of ink its asking to Use SETUP Cartridge. I don't have it anymore. What do I do? I tried the troubleshooting of using one ink then the other and still not working. Help!

Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

To bypass the message on the printer the only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hi, thank you for the response. 
In the instruction, more than one button is presented. 
But my printer has only one power button. That’s the only button on it.
