Cancelled instant ink service about 2 weeks ago as my new employer pays for my ink but must be ordered through their vendor.  Now, my printer will no longer print because it is being blocked by an error message:  Cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in instant ink.  Once I clear the message it cancels the print job.  After I cancelled, HP sent me 4 new cartridges that are now useless.

I've installed a regular HP 902 cartridge but since the CYM are still instant ink, it won't print anything.  Need to know how to bypass this.

Hi,

You should remove any HP Instant Ink ink cartridge from the printer and get new standard cartridges from a nearby store instead, all 4 cartridges must be available for the printer to print.

HP Instant Ink Cartridges should be returned to HP once cancelling the service and will no longer work:

@JWO91

There is no "bypass" -- when the service was cancelled, you should have removed (all) the Instant Ink cartridges and returned them to HP.

Example:

HP Instant Ink - USA - Terms of Service

Lots of important information and definitions, including:

#  4:  Printer Needs to be Connected to Internet

#  5: INSTANT INK PROGRAM CARTRIDGES PROVIDED TO YOU (Read this one!)

And

#  6:  INSTANT INK PROGRAM CARTRIDGES MUST BE RETURNED TO HP BY YOU (Read this one!)

#  7:  Service Plans -- What is a page?

#  8:  Rollover Pages

#13:  Customer Support Center -- Cloud Services Contact Phone Number and online contact link

#15:  Cancellation

Edits - Removed possibly INCORRECT comments about Instant Ink Ready cartridges.

Reminder

Instant Ink Service is not a "free ink" service,

Instant Ink Service is a print service that charges by the number of pages printed.

Ink necessary to support printing is supplied as a part of the service.

This is ridiculous. How can I use the ink cartridges that I already paid for? I am no longer enrolled because I am not printing as much. But I need to print some items today. My printer should be recognized as previously enrolled at least until I use the cartridges I have. The least HP could do if this is how they are handling the instant ink is code the products you already have so you can use what you paid for.
