There are a few threads out there with discussions of this, but no real step-by-step "how-to" instructions.
When I leave my house for six months, what should I do with my Envy 4512 so that it will work well when I come back?
Thanks so much to anyone who can give me specific instructions instead of a discussion of how printers work.

Hi @gkaufman ,
Welcome to the HP Support-Community.
There is not much you have to consider. The only thing that will happen is that the cartridges will dry out.
The good thing is that you only need to replace both cartridges after the time and the printer will work again. 😊
Cheers!
