Hi, my HP Officejet Pro 8600 makes problems.
I used it with compatible third party cartidges but suddenly got the message that the two cartidges are missing, even if they were in and working properly. I replaced it with a new set of cartidges and got the message ink or printer failure. So I did a partial rest, I believe and now I am stuck in the support program asking me to install setup cartages, which I don't have anymore. When installing third party cartidges the printer tells me that there is a problem with the ink system. How do I get out of this? The printer is not worth anymore the money to buy an entire pack of original cartidges...
Also a hard reset as described did not work (removing cartages, plugging it off, pressing the on button for 3 minutes, plugging it back on). I still end up in the setup program.
Kind Regards

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are unable to use third-party cartridges and after resetting the printer ist is asking for setup cartridges.
You might have to use genuine ink cartridges.
HP printers are designed to work with original HP ink and toner cartridges. As is standard in the printing business, HP printers use a process to authenticate cartridges. In certain HP printers, this authentication process includes dynamic security measures. Dynamic security relies on the printer’s ability to communicate with the security chips or electronic circuitry on the cartridges. HP uses dynamic security measures to protect the quality of our customer experience, maintain the integrity of our printing systems, and protect our intellectual property.
