Hp deskjet 3700 cuts off bottom

HP deskjet 3700

I have a MacBook Air, 2020. I also have an HP deskjet 3700 all in one

 

the last inch of the page doesn’t print. How is this not fixable? I saw on another question that someone said it’s a hardware issue? That does not seem to compute in my brain... there should be a software update to be able to address this. Someone please help!

Hi,

This is a limitation of lower-end printers which are capable of printing up to a specific margin,

 

You may find its specifications below, see 'Paper-handling specifications > Print margins', the Bottom margins must match (or exceed) 12.7 mm (0.5 inch) in the portrait orientation:
