hp envy 4504 printer scanner

cannot print in colour,  greyscale option is turned off in layout.  test page will nor print in colour, there is ink in the cartridge.

have reinstalled printer, reinstall latest drivers, and turn printer on and off . print and set printing preferences back to factory defaults.  i cannot work this out

Are you able to copy in color?

 

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report:

  1. On the printer control panel, press the Down Arrow  to scroll to Tools, and then press OK.

  2. Press the Down Arrow  to scroll to Print Quality Report, and then press OK. The printer prints the test page.

Let me know if you see any color on this report.

 

Clean the ink cartridges:

  1. Load letter or A4, unused, plain white paper into the paper tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, press the Down Arrow  to select Tools, and then press OK.

  3. Press the Down Arrow  to select Clean Printhead, and then press OK. The printer cleans the printhead, and then prints a printhead test page.
