I accidently *deleted* my Spooler service instead of stopping and starting it.
Now, nothing related to a printer or to the spooler works. Cannot display printer information. Cannot clear spooler. Cannot stop or start spooler. Etc.
How do I reinstall the Spooler? Can I do it from the 😧 recovery hard drive partition? If so, how?

Thank you, Betty.
Your reply spurred me to try again to resolve it.
I must have rebooted and run automatic problem detection enough times that something eventually broke through a little.
I now was able to access the printer definition, which enabled me to finally be able to remove the device. I deleted and reinstalled the printer a few times. Before, I could not even stop or start the spooler without an error message. Now the scanner worked fine, but all programs (including a request to print a test page) failed.
Your reply got me out of focusing on my faux pas with the spooler, and pursuing a printer fix. So I deleted the printer, downloaded and re-installed the printer driver, and everything works now! Hallelujah!
Thank you for reaching out, Betty.
