OK. So I cancelled my instant ink because I didn't feel like paying a monthly fee to print a nominal amount of pages.  However, the printer will not print ANYTHING at all and there is ink in the machine!  I will gladly pay the balance for the cost of the ink if that's how HP wants to bleed me. Any suggestions would be helpful. TY

Welcome to the HP Community.

What to do?

Remove the Instant Ink cartridges from the printer - return to HP.

Purchase and Install a set of Instant Ink cartridges.

Longer Explanation...

There is no "balance due".

You cannot purchase the cartridges.

Ink is provided as part of the Instant Ink Subscription.

All ink cartridges that are part of the Instant Ink service remain the property of HP.

After the subscription is cancelled, Instant Ink cartridges must be removed from the printer.

After the final billing cycle, Instant Ink cartridges lock and cannot be used in any printer.

Instant Ink cartridges should be returned to HP for proper disposal.  (No one is going to chase you down for the cartridges.)

New HP ink cartridges must be purchased and installed.

All of this and more is explained in the Terms of Service document.

You do NOT have to have a subscription to read the contract.

See section that explains how to cancel your subscription.
