Hi @DaisyYoung,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for your patience. The error code OXC4EB827FHWLMICC12 C on your HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer, especially after a power cut, typically points to a firmware or hardware initialization failure, often related to the printhead or carriage system.

Here’s how to troubleshoot it:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds (while unplugged).
  • Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (not a surge protector).
  • Turn the printer back on.

2. Check for Paper or Carriage Obstructions

  • Open the ink access door.
  • Gently move the carriage (ink cartridge holder) left and right.
  • Remove any paper scraps or debris.
  • Ensure the cartridges are properly seated.

3. Remove and Reinsert Ink Cartridges

  • With the printer on, open the cartridge access door.
  • Remove both cartridges.
  • Clean the copper contacts with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
  • Let them dry for 5 minutes, then reinsert.

4. Update Firmware (if accessible)

If the printer turns on without the error:

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
