Hi @DaisyYoung,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for your patience. The error code OXC4EB827FHWLMICC12 C on your HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer, especially after a power cut, typically points to a firmware or hardware initialization failure, often related to the printhead or carriage system.

Here’s how to troubleshoot it:
1. Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds (while unplugged).
- Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (not a surge protector).
- Turn the printer back on.
2. Check for Paper or Carriage Obstructions
- Open the ink access door.
- Gently move the carriage (ink cartridge holder) left and right.
- Remove any paper scraps or debris.
- Ensure the cartridges are properly seated.
3. Remove and Reinsert Ink Cartridges
- With the printer on, open the cartridge access door.
- Remove both cartridges.
- Clean the copper contacts with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
- Let them dry for 5 minutes, then reinsert.
4. Update Firmware (if accessible)
If the printer turns on without the error:
- Visit the HP support page:
🔗 HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer series Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support
- Download and install the latest firmware for macOS Sequoia 15.5.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
