I have shut down printer, I have unplugged the printer, and I have removed the ink cartilages, printer head and reinstalled. Still receiving the message.

Hi @Lars1952,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing the "Printhead is missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed" error on your HP Officejet Pro 8610 printer, there are a few steps you can take to try and resolve the issue. Here's a step-by-step guide.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Check Printhead Contacts:
- Open the printer cover to access the printhead.
- Ensure that the printhead and the ink cartridges are properly installed.
- Check the electrical contacts on the printhead and inside the printer for any dirt or debris.
- Clean the contacts with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab moistened with distilled water.
Reset the Printhead:
- Turn on the printer.
- Open the printer cover.
- Wait for the carriage to move to the center.
- Remove the ink cartridges.
- Lift the latch handle on the printhead and gently lift the printhead out of the printer.
- Reinstall the printhead and close the latch handle.
- Reinstall the ink cartridges.
- Close the printer cover.
Update Firmware:
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. You can usually find this information on the HP website.
- If an update is available, follow the instructions provided by HP to update the firmware.
Check for Hardware Issues:
- If the issue persists, there might be a hardware problem with the printhead or the printer itself.
Replace the Printhead:
- If all else fails, you may need to consider replacing the printhead.
Remember to follow the specific instructions provided by HP for your printer model.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
