Hi, can someone please tell me if the permanent red light on information button is an issue? Cannot get an answer from HP. All drivers firmware have been updated on this recently purchased item.

Hello,
Could you print the information page again by pressing the (i) button and share it. Kindly mask the Serial Number and any personal data on the information page.
I wanted to check if the error message(s) like "printer is not enrolled in HP instant ink" is printed on it.

Hello,
Try pressing the (i) information button once and check if the Information page is printed.
If yes, then capture the first 4 lines of the page and paste it in your reply.
If no, then remove the cartridges, any other cables connected to the printer including the power cord. Wait for 30 seconds and the plug in the power cord to the printer. Press the ON button to power it ON. Install cartridges when prompted.

Hello,
Have you followed the instruction to setup this printer.
Is there any error message displayed on your HP SMART APP ?

Hello,
The INFO button always being lit is not a usual thing. Below are my observation on the info you have shared...
1) In your Posts, you have mentioned the printer as "HP 2710e", however the test page screen shot states its without "e".
2) Looks like the printer is waiting for a Firmware update ( just guessing ).
However you may use the HP SMART APP to check and install Printer updates(Firmware). Below is the URL to do so.

Make sure the printer is on and connected to your computer.

Hi, I checked and I have updated everything but the light is still on. I am still using printer cartridges supplied with printer. Do you think it might be something to do with them? When I remove them the light goes out but as soon as I replace it comes on again.
