I have run print and scan doctor. It's giving me a "port match" error. How do I fix this?

I am using Windows 7. I have solved the problem. I have to uninstall then reinstall the software and drivers for the printer. Quite frankly, I have had nothing but problems with this printer. I would really like to throw it out a window, but I paid too much for it, it's the only printer I have, and it's less then 1 year old!
Thank-you for your reponse, however.

What OS are you using?
How is the printer connected to the computer?

I am getting the same error for my HP PSC 750. What do I do to correct this issue?
Do I have to uninstall and reinstall the printer?
I just hooked it up to my new Dell PC which runs Windows 10 64-bit.
I had similar problems on my old PC, but now it won't print anything and disconnecting the power cord from the back of the printer, nor unplugging the power cord from the wall corrects the issue.
Please help...
