I don't know or don't remember that and can't find how to reset this.
Back to standard settings on the the printer (i have done that) doesn't solve the problem.

Hello @Dan_Pieper,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you have forgotten the Username Password and require assistance for resetting this for your HP ENVY 4502 e-All-in-One Printer. I would like to assist you with this today. However, I do need a bit more information for exactly what Username and Password that you're being prompted for.
On your HP Envy printer you can set an Administrator Password that will lock you out of certain features on your printer if you fail to remember that password. However, on the printer is generally prompts you for Administrator Password. It does not generally say 'Username Password'.
On your Mac computer, where are you trying to access the Settings tab? I'm curious because you might actually be prompted to enter your Mac Username and Password for computer security reasons. Should this be the case than a reset of your printer will not clear that message up and you may need to speak to Apple support to resolve that Mac Username and Password message.
Once I get a bit more information from you I will be glad to point you in the right direction for whatever reset you may require. I look forward to hearing from you! 🙂

Very pleased you want to help me!
I will try to explain a little more in detail.
In the browser i go to the printer. In my situation that is 192.168.178.254
Ther i see a black screen with at the top op the page: HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer series.
There are 6 tabs: Home, Scan, Web Services, Network, Tools and Settings.
The Tab "Scan" is accessible and i am able to scan a page on the printer.
But as soon as i click on the tab "settings" there apears an other popup-screen with the questionnto enter the admin username and password for 192.168.178.254:80
I've also tried the admin username of the macbook, but that doesn't work. After three times a wrong uid/pwd combination there apears the message: Network Connection error.
The tabs tools and Ntpework are accessible without any problem.
For the Tab Web Services also a uid pawd combiation is asked (192.168.178.254:443)
Hope this gives more information for you to help me.

Hello @Dan_Pieper,
Thanks for getting back to me regarding this Administrator Password issue.
Now that you have cleared up that the Administrator Password you're being prompted for is the printers, I am going to send you the steps in a Private Message for the programming reset that will need to be run to undo the password so you have a nice clean slate to work with.
Please check you Private Messages for the instructions on how to perform the reset. Once the reset is complete, please post the result of the reset in this thread and not in the Private Message.
I look forward to hearing from you! 🙂

"Instructions do work, e.g. the printer was reset to default. Registered at the wifi-network. ip-adres = 192.168.178.29.
I go to that adres with the browser and when i click on the tab "settings" I'am still asked for admin username/password.....it says in a popup: "Verification needed For the server http://192.168.178.29:80 a username and password is needed". The server says: admin
well i still don' t know the username/password and i'am not able to enter the "Settings" tab.
i' am sorry.
Hello @Dan_Pieper,
I'm sorry to hear that the programming reset I had you run on your HP ENVY 4502 e-All-in-One Printer failed to resolve the security Admin message. Are you using this printer in an Office/ Business environment or is this printer installed on your home network?
The reason I ask is because this server warning may be a warning on a business network due to additional security features.
However, if this is a home and home office printer, installed on your local network, I would have to believe that you may be dealing with some sort of programming issue on the printer as the reset I had you run should have restored your printer and all settings to an out of box state and that hasn't occured, even though the reset went through. Should this be the case, I would suggest that you contact our Technical Support queue by phone to explore additional support options.
HP Technical Support can be reached at: 800-474-6836.
If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region.
I wish you luck! 🙂

Hello @NoRealSolutions,
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post serial numbers and case details.
If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, this post has instructions.
