Completely uninstalled all the information for the HP C309g printer set up etc. program.. I would like to reinstall it now as a new printer installation. The disc I have is the original (2012) when I bought the printer. Can I use this set up disc. If so, what about

the updated drivers and updates to the printer?  Is there an updated printer set up for this I can dowload which contains

the correct updatd drivers and updates for this printer?  any help is appreciated. I need this printer going asap. thanks

Hello, @jitern – Greetings!

Going through your post, I understand that you are trying to install the Photosmart printer on your Windows 7 PC. It is advisable to download and install the printer drivers from the HP driver page as this would be an updated driver package when compared to the CD that you possess.

Also, make sure you have uninstalled the old drivers, restart the PC and then install the drivers. Here are the steps:

  • First, unplug the USB cable from the printer, if present.
  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Photosmart printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Now, go to HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One Printer - C309g to download and install the software.
  • Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!

Cheers 🙂
