I have recieved an email from HP saying my printer is not connected to the internet and cannot provide ink status. My printer is connected to my wireless network and I can print successfully from Mac, PC, and iOS devices. However the status on the printer wireless network settings say that the IP address is "updating" and stuck in that status. Any advice on how to resolve please? Thanks.

Welcome to HP Support Forums.
I came across your post and would like to assist.
I understand that you have received an email from HP stating that your HP ENVY 5030 All-in-One Printer is not connected to the internet and therefore cannot provide the ink status.
Secondly, the printer is able to print wireless from all the devices on the network. However, the wireless network settings on the printer say that the IP address is "updating" and stuck in that status.
Did any changes or updates happen on the printer prior to this issue?
Meanwhile, I suggest you to perform the following steps to isolate and fix this issue:
- Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
- Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
- Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
- The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector.
- Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.
You may update the firmware on the printer by following the below steps:
Once the firmware is successfully updated, you may restart the printer. Then you may check the wireless network settings and let me know if it appears to be alright or does it still show that it is updating the IP address.
I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great.
