@ChristineD2, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your HP ENVY 5010 All-in-One Printer is displaying a question mark and is not printing your address labels, it could be related to a variety of issues such as connectivity problems, driver issues, or print settings. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Step 1: Check Printer Connection
- Ensure the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If using a wireless connection, make sure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
Step 2: Check Paper and Media Type
- Verify that you are using the correct paper size and type for printing address labels.
- Make sure the paper is properly loaded in the input tray and is not jammed.
Step 3: Update Printer Drivers
- Ensure that the printer drivers are up-to-date. Visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest drivers for the HP ENVY 5010 printer.
Step 4: Check Print Settings
- Ensure that the print settings are correctly configured for address labels. Check the printer settings in the print dialog box of your application to make sure the right paper size, layout, and print quality are selected.
Step 5: Perform Printer Reset
- Sometimes, resetting the printer can resolve unknown issues. To do this, turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source for a few minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
Step 6: Clear Any Error Messages
- If your printer displays error messages or symbols (like a question mark), check the printer's light indicators or display panel for additional information. Refer to the printer manual for a specific troubleshooting guide regarding these messages.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
