Intermittent issues with jobs stuck in print queue. Often, have to turn off and on the printer or restart from the EWS. In reviewing the event codes from the EWS, I see some of the following but cannot find their meaning on the HP website. Can anyone help or direct me to the URL which may list the cause and repair of these error codes.
Errors: F0.02.02.03, F0.03.12.04 (3 times). Warnings: F0.03.15.07, 10.02.70, 10.03.70.

Hi @PantherPC,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It looks like you're experiencing intermittent issues with your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdw printer, particularly with print jobs getting stuck in the queue. While HP's documentation can be quite detailed, sometimes specific error and warning codes can be hard to find. Below are some general troubleshooting steps and interpretations for the error and warning codes you've listed.
Error Codes
F0.02.02.03
- This error generally indicates a problem related to the firmware or internal communication within the printer. It could be due to a corrupted print job or a need for a firmware update.
F0.03.12.04
- This error is typically associated with paper path issues or print engine problems. It can often be related to paper jams, issues with the fuser, or problems with the toner cartridges.
Warning Codes
F0.03.15.07
- This warning may point to maintenance issues or sensors detecting minor problems that do not yet affect printing but could become significant if not addressed. It could involve the paper path, sensors, or the printer's environment.
10.02.70 and 10.03.70
- These warnings usually relate to toner cartridge issues. They could indicate low toner, incompatible cartridges, or cartridge placement problems.
Troubleshooting Steps
Update Firmware
- Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP support website.
Check for Paper Jams
- Carefully inspect the printer for any paper jams or obstructions in the paper path.
Inspect Toner Cartridges
- Make sure the toner cartridges are correctly installed and not low on toner. Try reseating the cartridges and, if necessary, replace them.
Restart Printer
- As you mentioned, restarting the printer can temporarily resolve issues. However, frequent need for restarts indicates an underlying problem that should be addressed.
Clear Print Queue
- On your computer, clear the print queue to remove any corrupted print jobs that might be causing issues.
Environmental Factors
- Ensure the printer is in an appropriate environment. Excessive heat, humidity, or dust can affect performance.
Monitoring Event Logs
Regularly monitor the event logs from the EWS (Embedded Web Server) to identify any recurring issues. Documenting these errors when contacting HP support can help them provide more specific guidance.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
