Hi
In the last few weeks I have noticed that the printed paper gets very warm and the plastic just underneath the "lid" is wet. Does anyone know if this is a known issue, please?
I have had this printer since January 2014 so it may be that it is just getting old! If that is the case and it would be more economical to get a new model can anyone recommend an HP printer that will take the same toner cartridges, please (I have just purchased two)?
Regards

Actually more common experience than you would think. At one point Samsung was shipping their laser printers with a warning label explaining what the Steam (smoke to users) was and why it happens. Problem is common on low use printers where there is paper left in the tray for months on end and it slowly absorbs moisture from the air which is then vaporized when the paper hits the hot fuser during printing. Not dangerous at all but can take you by surprise if you have never experienced it.

Looking at the "Condensation build up - Laserjet M277" post from 2015 it is probably being caused by the high humidity at the moment, and lifting the scanning unit should fix it.
Just added this in case it helps anyone else.
